Book Deal: Congratulations to LM's Sybil Lockhart
Literary Mama Reviews Co-Editor Sybil Lockhart recently sold her memoir, Early Stages, to Simon and Schuster. Loosely based on the Mama in the Middle column she wrote for Literary Mama, Early Stages will tell the story of raising small children and caring for her mother who had Alzheimer's disease, from a neurobiologist's perspective. Sybil's essay, "Grey," was one of the first pieces of mother-writing I ever read. That was a few years ago, and I still remember how wowed I was by her writing and her thoughtfulness. Congrats, Sybil, I can't wait to read the book.

Okay, I'm a little late chiming in here, so you may not see this... but Congratulations!!! Just the other day I was just remembering that you had mentioned (way back when) that you were trying to sell the book, and I was hoping that you had, and that it would be coming out soon. I'll be looking for it!
