Katherine J. Barrett is Canadian and living in Cape Town, South Africa's "Mother City," with her husband and three young sons. She holds a PhD in Botany and Ethics and has previously taught at the University of British Columbia.
Her creative writing has appeared in Mom Writers' Literary Magazine (Mamazina), Cahoots Magazine, Cup of Comfort for Mothers, and Call Me Okaasan: Adventures in Multicultural Mothering.
Katherine is also assistant editor for the online fiction journal, Page Forty-Seven, and a contributing editor to Alternatives Journal (University of Waterloo).
