Call for Submissions: Literary Mama Fiction

Desiring Motherhood (or not, or maybe) is the theme of the October issue of Literary Mama, and we always have a particular need for short stories that deal with this theme.

Deadline: Mid-September (but the earlier, the better)
Word Count: Maximum of 5,000 words
Submit to: LMfiction (at) literarymama (dot) com

We seek writing about the desire to have or not to have children. This issue will explore issues of primary and secondary infertility; the effects on the human soul of reproductive technologies; concerns about having more children or not having any at all; the relationship of caregivers to the mothering role and their desires for mothering; and more. Read the full guidelines here.

Feel free to read October stories in the fiction archives to get a sense of the past published stories.

Submit your Desiring Motherhood fiction of less than 5,000 words to LMfiction (at) literarymama (dot) com by mid-September.

We look forward to reading your work!
