Help Wanted: Editorial Assistant(s)

Literary Mama is looking for an editorial assistant(s)in its Creative Nonfiction and Literary Reflections sections.

Positions entail proofreading, copyediting, and posting into Movable Type monthly essays ranging in length from 500 - 7,000 words; the editorial assistant in Literary Reflections will also solicit contributions to our two monthly reading lists and prepare them for publication. Editorial assistants are encouraged to contribute to editorial discussions about submissions and will find opportunities to expand their responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a meticulous copyeditor who can work independently and is conscientious about deadlines.

We welcome writers who would like to participate in our diverse and supportive literary community. Literary Mama cannot offer any compensation at this time -- we are an all-volunteer organization -- but we do offer the benefits of working with a talented group of writers and editors to produce one of Writer's Digest's picks for the "101 Best Web Sites for Writers."

Applicants should email a letter and resume to Caroline Grant, Editor-in-Chief: carolinemgrant (at)gmail (dot) com
