S146 Why Reviewing Matters: Diversity in Reviews
Room 200 H&I, Level 2
Saturday, April 11, 2015
10:30 am to 11:45 am
The VIDA count continues to show gender disparity in book reviewers and authors reviewed. This panel of book review editors and reviewers will discuss their efforts and offer practical strategies to combat this gender gap and lack of diversity by examining title and reviewer selection as well as when, where, and how reviews are published.
Reviews Editor Camille-Yvette Welsch is on the Panel.

Also, Managing Editor Karna Converse will be at the conference on April 9 and 10. She'd be pleased to catch up with and get to know contributors, or potential contributors!

The Literary Mama Blog Editor searches for mama-centric news you can use — including information about publishing opportunities and literacy efforts; essays and writing prompts that motivate and inspire; and announcements about events, classes, and workshops. The current blog editor is Bridget Lillethorup; read her bio here
