Kyra Robinov

Kyra’s historical novel, RED WINTER, was published in 2016. Based on her grandmother’s experience during the Bolshevik Revolution, it is set in 1920 far eastern Siberia. She is currently working on a sequel, chronicling the family’s survival of the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 in Yokohama, Japan. A lyricist/librettist, Kyra’s musical, TO DANCE, inspired by the true story of a Russian Jewish ballet dancer and his clash with the Soviet authorities, was featured at the NY International Fringe Festival in 2015. Children’s books include: MATT McFLACK & HIS FLYAWAY KITE; DANCE OF THE SEASONS; and THE FOLLY OF POLLY THE PENGUIN. Coming soon: URGE TO ROME, Kyra’s memoir about the year she and her family moved to the Eternal City under the guise of an educational and cultural once-in-a-lifetime experience for all.
