Leanna James lives with her husband and eight year-old daughter in Easthampton, Massachusetts. She holds an M.F.A. in creative writing from Mills College in Oakland, California, and has been published in literary journals, national parenting magazines, and literary anthologies. A contributor to Brain, Child, the Magazine for Thinking Mothers, she most recently appeared in Toddler: Real-life Stories of Those Fickle, Irrational, Urgent, Tiny People We Love. Currently at work on a novel, she also writes for Amherst Magazine, and she recently won a full fellowship in fiction from the Vermont Studio Center.
