S. Ramos O’Briant’s work has appeared in Whistling Shade, Flashquake, Ink Pot, NFG, The Journal of Modern Post, Cafe Irreal. La Herencia,, LBF, and The Copperfield Review. In addition, her short stories have been anthologized in Best Lesbian Love Stories of 2004 (nominated for a Lambda Literary award), Life’s Spices from Seasoned Sistahs (Nubian Images Publishing), What Wildness is This: Women Write About the Southwest (University of Texas Press, which received the 2008 Willa Cather award for Creative Nonfiction), Latinos in Lotus Land: An Anthology of Contemporary Southern California Literature (Bilingual Press, 2008), and Hit List: The Best of Latino Mystery (Arte Publico Press, 2009).
